Through our linkage with SUNx, we are already contributing to the following socio-economically innovative initiatives targeting LDCs & SIDS:
- Climate Friendly Travel Diploma: This 2-year program is the world’s first online course on Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) for a cleaner, greener, more responsible future. It helps post-graduate students to discover CFT & how it fits with the Paris Climate Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals and Kunming – Montreal Biodiversity Accord.
- Climate Friendly Travel Chapters: Engaging locally in 80+ LDC & SIDS.
- Climate Champions: 100,000 planned worldwide by 2030, trained as catalysts for positive, youth-inspired change.
- Climate Friendly Travel Registry: With 500+ registered travel companies listed, this key Travel & Tourism entry point to the UNFCCC Climate Action Portal supports CFT-aligned 2050 plans.
- Strong Earth Youth Summit: A tribute to Maurice Strong, promoting climate hope and youth empowerment for a clean and green future in Tourism.
